WIP Wednesday

Well here is my continuing effort to Blog more often in the form of my first Work In Progress Wednesday post.

This is my Age of Brass and Steam Shawl which I am knitting is a very bright Zauberball.  As this is sock yarn rather than a DK I'm hoping to fit in an extra repeat.

I've been on a bit of a shawl kick since Christmas and I have to admit I am loving them.  I'm sticking to fairly simple patterns at the moment but of course I do have plans for more lace in the future.  I just need to get myself some semi-solid yarns first.

I've been on a shawl knitting kick too so I am happy to see another pattern. That's a nice one!

I'm knitting my first shawl right this second, and I definitely feel a shawl kick coming on. They're so fun! And yours is incredibly cheerful - I love the colors! Oh, and welcome to WIPW. :)

Shawls are really addictive, but I'm a great believer in the fact there is no such thing as too many shawls.

Love the colors of the Zauberball. It's one of my favorite yarns right now. I know what you mean by being on a shawl kick. I am working on my third one this year. They are so much fun and there are great patterns on ravelry. Yours is looking wonderful.

Looks like a great way to chase away the gloomy winter weather! I think there is a shawl virus going around, I'm working on one too! :)

Thanks everyone for your compliments and lovely comments.

I'm loving seeing all the different shawls that people are making. They are definately the thing to be knitting at the moment. :)
