Something To Aspire To - 2KCBWDAY6

image title

For a while now I have been promising myself and telling everyone else that I would like to make a "proper" garment.  In other words something big to wear.  A top or even a cardigan rather than my normal socks/hat/shawl projects.  I even have yarn

and a pattern picked out ready.

Somehow though I always put off the casting on.  I haven't even done a swatch yet.  I do really, really want to knit a garment and to knit the Cowl Shell in particular.  It would be gorgeous to have to wear this summer and yet I still don't cast on.  And I'm not sure why.  I think I have a fear of not finishing.  Oh and also a fear of it all going wrong, of me spending hours and hours knitting only for it not to fit and for me to never wear it.

So here I am ready with needles, yarn and the pattern and as spring speeds by I am still not knitting.  Ah well, maybe next year......

You have plenty of time to get this done. It's only just stopped snowing!

Come on girl with that lovely blue it would be a shame to let it sit in the stash for another year. We can help you get through this.. Break it down into manageable chunks like cast on..... xP

And it snowed on the Scottish hills today so you still have plenty of time.

Come on, cast on a swatch. You can do it. There is plenty of time to get it done.

You can do it. And I bet it will fit perfectly like the pattern was made only for you XD

Get goin' :O) b/c you can do it! If you get stuck ask other ppl who've made it already. If worse comes to worse, there's always paid, private time w/someone down at the LYS.

Just take the first step. If your gauge is right and the pattern is right, you'll be fine. It's such pretty yarn.

At that price it would be a crime not to knit it up. Will make a lovely summer top
